
Each * heat emitter * shall be equipped with an Xterminator terminal valve set. Including flushing bypass, flow isolation valve and return mounted commissioning set.
If direct mounting to the fan coil is required.
The flushing bypass valve shall have pipe centres of 40mm, a three seat T port valve will provide isolation to one connection and control the direction of flow. Connections to the mains will be ¾” euroconus suitable for a range of pipe types.
If in pipe work mounting is required
The flushing bypass will incorporate a full bore isolation valve and include 2 mounting bosses suitable for a mounting bracket or drop rod. Connection to the mains pipework will be by parallel female BSP threads.
If a local Strainer is required
The flow side will include a Filterball combined strainer and isolation valve a drain and test point.
If no local Strainer is required
The flow side will include a Filtermate DZR isolation valve a drain and test point.
The return side will include a Terminator Commissioning valve with interchangeable venturi flow measurement, union connection and profiled characterised ball. An air vent tapping shall be supplied plugged for use if required.
Connections to the coil side shall be female parallel BSP.

3 Port Control Valve By Others and Double Regulation Valve (FR59 or TCV) or 4 Port Control Valve By Others

3 Port Control Valve by others or 4 Port Control Valve by others

2 Port Control Valve By Others and Differential Pressure Control Valve (system)

If in pipe work mounting is require.
The flushing bypass will incorporate a full bore isolation valve and include 2 mounting bosses suitable for a mounting bracket or drop rod. Connection to the mains pipework will be by parallel female BSP threads.

On the return side a 2 port pressure independent control valve will be included of the rising stem type whereby no valve stroke is lost when the valve is pre-set. The flow rate should remain adjustable without removing the actuator and lockable by means of a memory stop.
The control valve will be actuated by means of (delete as appropriate) a motorised actuator, thermoelectric actuator, TRV sensor. The control characteristic should be characterised such as to provide near linear temperature control.

On the return side a 2 port pressure independent control valve will be included of the rotary type whereby flow rate limitation and temperature control are achieved by changing the position of a characterised ball. The valve should have equal percentage control characteristics.
The control valve will be actuated by means of a motorised actuator, controlled either on an opening time basis or by a scaled 2 – 10v signal.

Each valve assembly is to be mounted in an insulation box manufactured from water blown Polyisocyanurate material with a Class 'O' external foil scrim finish.
The insulation material should have a thermal efficiency of k=0.023 w/m°C and be at least 25mm thick. An EPDM compressive vapour seal between the two halves of the box will be provided as a barrier to condensation.
The insulation box should have a 0 Ozone Depletion rating (ODP) and low Global warming potential (GWP).
For each terminal unit a pair of Xterminator valve sets will be bracketed together in tandem.
The bracket shall be thermally isolated by means of stepped nylon washers in order to prevent heat bridging.
