Standard Bypass

Brackets

Each Xterminator unit may be bracketed for attachment to a building’s structure or ceiling grid, either singly using the Solo bracket or in pairs using the Tandem bracket.

The Tandem bracket allows the LTHW and chilled water supplies to a fan coil unit to be terminated in one very compact unit thus simplifying the bracketing and installation.

To avoid heat transfer the bracket is fitted to the Xterminator unit mounting bosses with an insulated spacer.

The Tandem bracket is available in several sizes in order to suit differing mounting configurations but it cannot be specified in conjunction with the insulation box.

Insulation

Developed in collaboration with a leading insulation specialist, the Marflow IBox insulated mounting box is designed to contain the Xterminator unit assembly.

The entire valve assembly is securely mounted within the box, which allows access for commissioning and maintenance via a clasp and hinge.

A compression seal between the two halves of the box prevents air from entering and, as such, provides an efficient barrier to condensation.

The Marflow IBox is manufactured from 25mm thick closed cell foam, has a class ‘O’ external finish, and has a high insulation value of 0.23 W/m2K.

Bespoke design

If the standard details do not meet your exact requirements then Marflow can manufacture a special Xterminator unit to your specification.

Some of the specials we have provided in the past include additional drain cocks, the addition of an air vent and the factory fitting of copper tails for direct fitting to the control valves of a fan coil.
